This Sep 16 and 17, we have three special anniversaries to celebrate: México’s Independence Day, Rafael Adón turns 18 years old, and we are observing our second year in its new headquarters in Saint Louis, Missouri, at 1901 Park Avenue.
Our beloved México declared its Independence from Spain in 1810. The declaration was exhibited through a ceremony on the night of September 15 and a military parade at midday on Sep16.
This special celebration of freedom is referred to as, “El Grito De Dolores” [The Cry of Dolores (the City of Dolores)]. The City of Dolores is near Guanajuato; the Mexican War of Independence was uttered by a Miguel Hidalgo, a Roman Catholic Priest in Dolores.
To commemorate such milestones, we are debuting a creative collaboration between Rafael Adón and his tattoo artist, Carlos Napoles of Santa Barbara, CA. The two have joined creative forces to launch "Vida Lotería Remesclada" (Life Lottery Remixed). The collection features La Lotería (Bingo-Style, Mexican version game) whimsical icons tattooed on leather bags, attachés and wallets.
Visit RA this Sep 16, from 2 to 5 PM and on Sep 17, from 1 to 3 PM. Come enjoy Margaritas, guacamole and salsa, all made of course!
